Ashlie Crosson, 2024 Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year
On December 11, 2023, Ms. Ashlie Crosson was selected as the 2024 Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year. This selection is an incredible honor for both Ms. Crosson and the Mifflin County School District.
Ms. Crosson has been an English Teacher at Mifflin County High School since August 2020 and teaches Advanced Placement (AP) Language and Composition, English 10 and Journalism.
She is a 2007 graduate of Lewistown Area High School.
Over the next two years, Ms. Crosson will represent the Mifflin County School District and Pennsylvania teachers by participating in interviews with local, state, or national media outlets and publications and by speaking at various conferences and workshops.
This accomplishment demonstrates the quality staff of the Mifflin County School District.

PBIS - Positive Behavior Intervention & Supports
Expectations - We teach you how to be: Respectful, Responsible, Ready, Safe
Paw Tickets - When you are caught being Respectful, Responsible, Ready and Safe, staff reward students who are showing positive behavior.
Bucket Prizes - When you are rewarded with a paw ticket you can place it in one of the 4 prize buckets! Bucket prizes are changed every month!
How Do I Win? - Students' paw tickets are drawn from the buckets and announced at the end of each week! Students who are good role models can be picked for a special prize... the Golden Paw ticket winner!
PBIS Celebrations! - Celebrations happen once the ENTIRE school earns and meets their paw ticket goal! Celebrations are always a surprise day packed with fun to celebrate EVERYONE'S PAWSITIVE behavior!
