24 Math Competition Champions
On Friday, May 16, 2025, twenty-five LIS students, 12-4th grade students and 13-5th grade students competed in the Regional 24 Math Competition for the second year. The students competed against several other schools in different school districts.
24 math is an arithmetical puzzle in which the objective is to find a way to manipulate four integers using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division so that the end result is 24. This is the 2nd year that LIS students have participated. The students sit in groups of 4 or 5 to play the game. LIS students played 2 regular rounds of 24 math, a semi-final round, and a final round and came home with the top 4 ribbons in both grades.
