Introducing the "MCSD Wellness Cup"
The MCSD Wellness Cup challenge is for all MCSD & Academy employees.
Teams are as follows: LES & East Derry, IVEC, LIS & SMES, MCMS, MCJH & Alpha, MCHS & Alpha, Admin/Academy/Maintenance
Each team is responsible for getting recruiting employees to participate in each event. Scoring will be like golf – low is better! If a building fails to provide a team for an event they will receive 15 points for the event. Events will be held at MCMS starting at 6 P.M. Specific dates and details are listed with each event. Please read the attached document for information and rules. If you have any questions let me know. Events start on April 22 so starting arranging your teams now!
2018-19 School Initiative
September - Garbage clean up. Examples: help clean up at Mitchell Field after the football game (October 5th ), clean up your school grounds or neighborhood. Details on Mitchell Field cleanup will be announced later.
October - Outdoor activities. Examples: rake leaves or attend/participate in an outdoor sporting event.
November - Hydrate 8. Drink eight 8 oz. glasses of water each day.
December - Unplug and Unwind. Take some time to power-down from technology.
January - Sleep 8 hours. Get your rest!
February - Kick up your feet/heels. Examples: try a new exercise class or participate in a line dancing class offered on February 21, 2019, from 6-8 PM at East Derry Elementary. Mark your calendars now!
March – Involvement. Examples: get involved w/ a local charity, shelter, nursing home or others in need.
April – Eat healthy. Examples: buy from the local farmers market, start planning your summer garden or eliminate unhealthy foods.
May – Steps 10,000 Examples: grab a buddy and walk at a local park or neighborhood, climb 1000 Steps, participate in a 5K.
