School
History |
|
In the early 1950s the community of
Belleville was rapidly growing. There was a need for a new
elementary school. The members of the Union Township School District
made initial overtures to the State Department of Education for
approval to construct a new elementary school. Ground was broken in
April 1957 and the new Belleville Elementary school was ready for
the school term beginning September 3, 1958.
Union Elementary is in the Indian Valley attendance area (Area
I). |
