Second Step

Second Step is an after-school program that meets each Tuesday after school in room 702. It is a researched based violence prevention curriculum designed to increase social skills and reduce violence among young people. It teaches problem solving and other skills needed in getting along with other, as well as resisting peer pressure. This year it is being offered to 6th grade students at SMMS. The program provides a snack, a Second Step lesson, and time for work on homework assignments. It runs from 3:05-4:30. Transportation is provided.
