In an effort to increase PSSA scores, we offer an after school tutoring program in reading for grades 5-8. Students are provided with motivational activities that incorporate reading and reading skills that will be covered on the PSSA tests. In addition to hands-on activities, students use a computer program called Soliloquy. This program assesses the students by audiotaping their reading and scoring it for correct pronunciation of words, fluency rate, and scoring on a comprehension test to each passage read.
