Strodes Mills Elementary – Parent/Student Association
he SMES PSA is an organization designed to support the education of the children of Strodes Mills elementary. We provide Assemblies, activities, classroom supplies, and field trips. We are able to supply these things through fundraising activities, throughout the year.
We work together with the faculty and administration of the school to enhance the education of our students, it is important that we provide our kids the tools they need for the best education possible and enjoy school at the same time.
Monthly meetings are held the first Monday of every month at 6:30 pm in room 101. We welcome new faces and new ideas. Join us! Bring the kids, they sometimes come up with great idea.

Campbell’s Soup/Box Tops: This committee is responsible for sorting and counting the box tops that the children bring in each month for the General Mills “Box Tops for education program.” This program provides money and or much need supplies the school and kids need.
Field Day: Ok, this day is THE BEST DAY EVER! Everything is held outdoors in the field with games and more games! Testing strength, agility, teamwork, all hands on deck for this one. And Volunteers even get a T-shirt.

Hospitality: The Hospitality committee is in charge of setting up and organizing the Teacher Lunches, this would include getting volunteers to watch Teacher Lunch room and Recess duties so the teach can enjoy a hot lunch! This group could use a few good volunteers to cook and watch the kids!

Memory book- this committee designs the memory book for the school and combines them with the class picture. This takes a lot of photographers to put this together, so if your good with a camera… let us know.
Santa’s Candy Cane Shop: This committee is in charge of organizing Santa’s Candy Cane shop, where kids can make their friends and family member cute candy cane for the holiday season. This happens in December. A lot of volunteers are needed for this… lots tags to make and Rudolf shaped candy canes!
Fundraising Committee: Review different fundraising brochures and prize packages. Meet with the individual representatives of each company, to ensure their programs match the needs of our school. In addition, look at other fundraising programs that would help our school with more fundraising opportunities.
