On Tuesday, September 2, 2008, the students and faculty at SMES had the opportunity to listen to a presentation given by local men and fathers who are being sent to Iraq. They are members of the 56th Stryker Brigade Combat team, which is the only National Guard Stryker unit in the United States. During the assembly, the men explained what they will be doing to aid in the war. At the end, the children of each soldier had the chance to stand with their fathers to show their support.
