2018 PAECT Student
Technology Showcase
On Monday, April 30, 2018, 32 students
and 6 advisors attended the Pennsylvania Association for Educational
Communications and Technology (PAECT) Student Technology Showcase in
the East Rotunda Wing of the Capitol Building in Harrisburg. This
showcase is held annually to present legislators and the public with
the opportunity to learn how teachers and students are integrating
technology into K-12 classrooms across the Commonwealth.
While at the showcase, students
had the opportunity not only to explain their projects to students
and teachers from other districts, but also to Rep. Kerry
Benninghoff and Rep. Adam Harris. Both gentlemen took time to visit
the display tables, meet the students, and learn how technology is
being infused in the classrooms in Mifflin County. As an added
bonus, Senator Corman, who was unable to attend the showcase, set up
a time for all of Mifflin County students to visit the Senate Floor
and have their picture taken.
