Students in my 5th, 6th, and 7th period classes organized a charity event after reading about the importance of helping others in the novel, Crazy Lady! We placed jars in the cafeteria with the names of teachers who volunteered to participate. Students put money into the jars of the teachers that they wanted to see drenched with water. The three teachers who raised the most money were the ones soaked this afternoon. Overall the students raised $146 (which was added to $320 donated by the staff) that went to a local family struggling with pediatric cancer.
The teachers in the video (from left to right) are Miss Swann, Mr. Eckenroth, and Mrs. Scyoc.
The MCSD Program of Studies for the 2016-2017 school is now available. Please use this as a guide when choosing courses for next school year. Students will have access to course registration beginning Monday, March 7 through their Skyward account. This window will close Thursday, March 24. Once students register for courses, they need to print their selected courses, have parents sign off on it, and turn it in to the Guidance Office by Thursday, March 31.
