History Day 2008

Welcome to the History Day website for Lewistown Middle school.  Here you will find dates, deadlines, links, this years topic, previous years pictures and important information to help you succeed at History Day at Juniata College.

Dates:                        March 26, 2008 -    We depart from Lewistown Middle School with projects to go to Juniata College for the
                                  

Deadlines:                December 3, 2007 -    We must have the confirmed number of students and the number of slots that we
                                    need in each category sent to Juniata College by this date.  We need students help to have groups finalized
                                    before this date and in to the advisors.

                                  February 29, 2008 -    Forms from each group, permission slips and a master list of all students going on the
                                    trip must be mailed and received by Juniata by this date.  Students must fill out the form and have a parent
                                    sign it.  Names of students and the name of the project that you are working on must be spelled correctly,
                                    the program will be made from these sheets.  Students must pay a $5.00 per student fee for all of the days
                                    activities.

                                  March 12, 2007 -    Students doing papers must have them mailed to Juniata College by this date so that they
                                    can be read and evaluated prior to April 2nd.

Topic:                      The topic for this year is: Conflict and Compromise.  Please be sure to cover all of the
                                     topics in your projects.
