Lewistown Middle School SAP
The Student Assistance Program (SAP) at Lewistown Middle School is designed to assist school personnel in identifying issues, including problems with alcohol and drugs, that pose a barrier to a student's learning and success in school. Student assistance is not a treatment program; rather, it is a systematic process using effective, accountable professional techniques to mobilize school resources to remove barriers to learning and, where the problem is beyond the scope of the school, to assist the parent and the student with information so they may access services in the community. School students may be referred to SAP by teachers, parents, students, or staff. For more information, contact Dr. Marybeth Irvin (SAP Coordinator) at Buchannan Elementary School at 248-0179 or Mr. Robert Reeder, Principal of Lewistown Middle School at 242-5801.
