Second Step Program

SECOND STEP AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

The SECOND STEP AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM is being offered at the Lewistown Middle School by the Tuscarora Intermediate Unit.

The SECOND STEP AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM is held on Mondays after school in Room 302.  The activity begins immediately after school and ends at 5:00pm.  Transportation home is provided by J&D Transportation at 5:00pm.

This activity includes a snack, a time for students to work on homework assignments, and a Second Step Lesson.   Second Step is a researched based violence prevention curriculum designed to increase social skills and reduce violence among young people.  This program teaches problem solving and other skills needed in getting along with others as well as resisting peer pressure.  This program is beneficial to all young people and is being offered to a variety of students.
