Day of Champions

FCA's Day of Champions is a Saturday event in the spring of the year, which normally runs from 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. It was held on Saturday, April 2 this year. Students were put into small groups, whom they were with throughout the day.  Small groups competed against other small groups in different sporting events and took part in mini-bible lessons throughout the day.  It was a GREAT day that was jam-packed with many special moments. 

There were 64 students that attended the "Day of Champions".  63 students pledged to being drug free!  Wow! 

At the Day of Champions, we had a drawing for scholarships for students who want to go to camp to help defray their costs.  The two winners were Thaddeus Peachey and Amanda Lloyd---Congratulations you two! 

A live band, "Messenger", performed for us throughout the day.  They also led us in praise and worship.  You can find out more about "Messenger" at www.messengerband.com .

Jason Hoy, originally from Beaver Springs, spoke to the students about how God forgives.  Jason also gave his testimony.

The Day of Champions is a great opportunity to come closer to the LORD.
