Welcome to Lewistown Middle School

The former home of Lewistown High School, Lewistown Middle School was renovated and re-opened in 1989.  LMS now houses approximately 425 students, and a building staff of around 50 personnel.   Fifth grade graduates of Buchanan Elementary and Lewistown Elementary begin their middle school careers here, and prepare to continue their educations at Lewistown Area High School after completion of the eighth grade.  Students are offered core academic courses, while also having the opportunity to be exposed to other disciplines including Technology Education, Music, Art, Family and Consumer Science, Computer Courses, Physical Education, and Health. Many students also become involved in extracurricular activities which can include Art and Drawing Clubs, Technology Student Association, Student Council, Builder's Club, Pulse Club, Concert Band and Choir, FCA, Intramural Sports, and PIAA athletics are available to seventh and eighth grade students.
