On Wednesday,
September 10, the third grade students at Lewistown Elementary planted
mums and spread mulch around the flag pole and front entrance of the
school. After procuring new flags for the school, Principal Mark Hidlay
asked the teachers and staff to bring mums for the planting project.
The students of Erica Bell, Nancy Aurand, Dixie Goss, and Elizabeth Goss
are studying soil and volunteered to do the planting. The students
brought their own gloves and gardening tools, and the project was
supervised by Dottie and Lynn Aurand. The students completed the
project to beautify the school for Back-to-School night.
