LES Recycles Milk Containers
LES will be participating in the Bottle Buddy Brigade,
which is a milk bottle upcycling project.
Upcycling-A
process that takes used or recycled materials and creates a new product
with a higher quality or value than the original materials.
The MCSD
received a $20,000 grant from Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association which is
one of 18 state and regional promotion organizations working under the
umbrella of the United Dairy Industry Association.
MCSD
will use funds to update outdated cafeteria equipment, modernize
cafeteria atmosphere; promote dairy consumption, and healthy eating
through signage and modern décor. That is why the Mifflin County Dairy
Princess, Dina Zug, a dairy farmer, and Carolyn Weaver, Mid-Atlantic
Dairy Association were here yesterday. That is also why I wore the
inflatable Rita Recycle costume.
