Chris Tressler is the 2005 recipient of the Alex Ufema Award. This annual award is given to the best football player in Mifflin County. Alex Ufema was a football coach at Lewistown High School from 1946 to 1963 during which he had a record of 121 wins with 51 losses and 6 ties. The award was created to honor Coach Ufema and his great teams.

The 6 foot 160 pound speedster was a vital component for the success generated by the Lewistown Football team this year. He rushed for over 800 yards (5.80 yards per carry), had 1350 all purpose yards (135.0 yards per game) and scored 7 touchdowns. He had 36 solo tackles and 46 total tackles. He intercepted two passes with one returned for a touchdown. He threw 2 touchdown passes and caught 18 passes for 202 yards (11.22 yards per catch). He was named first team running back and second team linebacker/punter/special team player for the Mountain Athletic Football Conference.

Lewistown Football and Lewistown High School are both very proud of Chris and this tremendous accomplishment.
