Regional History Day 2008

Seven students from LAHS competed in the regional History Day Competition at Juniata College on Wednesday, March 26.  The students are Sarah McCoy, Levi Miller, Cordell Hambright, Joel Rodriguez, Kenzie Dunmire and Sarah Sipe.  Sarah, Mara, Kenzie and Sarah will go on to state level competition at Millersville University next month.

Both winning projects dealt with sports: one with a focus on "Remember the Titans" and the other focused on the Negro Baseball Leagues.  All the students did an excellent job and should be congratulated.  While there is a good deal of work on the projects, it is clear that history can be fun.
