PSAT Information

The PSAT test is an assessment that helps prepare students for the SAT test. This test is voluntary and is offered at Indian Valley every fall to predominantly juniors, but any student can choose to take it. By taking the PSAT you also become registered to compete for scholarships from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. When you receive your scores back from the PSAT's you will receive feedback on your strengths and weaknesses based upon the test you took. Those results can help you to sharpen your skills in areas that need improving and increase your scores on the SAT.

For more information on the PSAT please visit The College Board.

PSAT scores were distributed in mid-December.

Registration will begin in mid-September for the 2008 PSAT.  All college-bound juniors are strongly encouraged to take it.

If you have any questions please stop by or call the guidance office.
