Seven Students Advance to Regional Chorus

Erin Zeiders (Soprano 1) and Lucas Waddell (Tenor II) are the two veterans to PMEA festivals that returned again this year and have advanced again to Regionals.  Both of them have previously attended District and Regional festivals, Erin last year as a sophomore and Lucas, for the past two years.

Danielle Barnosky (Soprano II), Courtney Hill (Alto II), Justin Araway (Tenor I), Zeke Coffey (Bass I) and Kyle Orndorf (Bass II) have all advanced to Regional Choir as well after having attended their first PMEA District Chorus festival.

In order to advance to the Regional Choir level, each of the students had to “place” in the top ten of each section, some of the sections being as large as 34 students and being quite competitive. Students from 26 different schools were all vying for these spots to advance to Regional Choir.

Each of these students spent a lot of hours in individual preparation as well as full group rehearsals every Wednesday to prepare for their auditions.  They are all also members of the Senior High Choir and they Indian Valley Ensemble so the festivals add another huge commitment to the musical obligations they already have. Congratulations to each of them on their effort and success with this accomplishment and being willing to go the extra mile in their musical journey.
