Indian Valley Ensemble Chosen to
Perform at Prestigious Conference

The Indian Valley Ensemble, under the direction of
Sherry D. Trgovac, has been chosen to perform at the Pennsylvania Music
Educators Association All-State Conference in Valley Forge in March of
2006.
The group was chosen, out of 170 audition entries in
35 different musical categories, to be one of only 25 performing groups of
various genres of choral and instrumental music representing elementary,
middle school, high school, collegiate and community performing groups for
this three day event.
This is the sixth conference performance the group
has been privileged to earn since 1998, having appeared three times at the
PMEA All-State conference, the Music Educators National Conference Eastern
Division Convention in Providence, Rhode Island, the American Choral
Directors Association Eastern Division Convention in Pittsburgh the ACDA
Summer Conference at Penn State University. The group has also
participated in the Heinz Chapel Chamber Choir Festival at the University
of Pittsburgh and will make a return engagement in 2007.
This year’s group is made of up of students in grades
9-12, meeting every Monday evening for two hours of rehearsal, plus the
addition of a lot of hours of their own time in perfecting their
