Team up with Star Country and Adam Moon to Celebrate
Teacher Of The Week!!

Students from the Mifflin, Juniata, and Huntingdon Area School Districts are encouraged to submit a letter to Star Country about their favorite teacher and how he or she has impacted their life and why they think their teacher is Outstanding!

Every Friday, Adam Moon will announce a new Teacher Of The Week and he will deliver an award and prize pack to the teacher during school hours. Star Country will also post a picture of the Teacher Of The Week on our website.

"TEACHER Of THE WEEK" COMES TO HPAE
	January 11, 2008 Mrs. Melissa Howard, a first grade teacher at Highland Park Area Elementary School, was pleasantly surprised Friday afternoon when StarCountry Radio arrived at the HPAE Library and presented her with a gift pack and certificate as the recipient of the StarCountry Teacher of the Week Award. Mrs. Howard was nominated by Regan Wagner, one of her 1st grade students.
This is Regan's letter to StarCountry: Mrs. Howard is the best teacher of all. I wish that she was teacher of the week. She is is nice to all the kids in my class and I love her! This is Alyssa's letter to StarCountry: Dear Star Country - Teacher of the Week Contest Hello, my name is Alyssa. I am in second grade a Highland Park Elementary and I would like to tell you about my teacher Mr. Phillips. Mr. Phillips is very kind. He is a lot of fun in class. To help us with our writing, he makes it into a game. He does this thing that you have Who, What, When, Where and Why. He picks three word and makes us write sentences that involves those three words. He goes up and down the rows and each kid reads their sentences. He makes writing fun, and he doesn't give us much homework. This is why I think Mr. Phillips should win teacher of the week. Love, Alyssa Strausburg CONGRATULATIONS MR. PHILLIPS !!!
