Officer Laurie, from the Mifflin County Sherriff's
Department, and Eddie Eagle came to Highland Park Area
Elementary School to talk with the 1st grade students
about a very important subject. What to do if they find
a gun.
There are 4 steps:
STOP!
Don't Touch.
Leave the
Area.
Tell an
Adult.
The children also watched a short
video starring Eddie Eagle and received a reward
sticker to remind them of what to do if they see a
gun. We will review the 4 steps at the end of this
web page, just to help you remember.
Practicing the steps with Officer Laurie and
Eddie Eagle was fun and made it easy to remember.
