[HPAE Home] - [1st Grade Projects]

Officer Laurie and Eddie Eagle Officer Laurie, from the Mifflin County Sherriff's Department, and Eddie Eagle came to Highland Park Area Elementary School to talk with the 1st grade students about a very important subject. What to do if they find a gun.

There are 4 steps:

  1. STOP!

  2. Don't Touch.

  3. Leave the Area.

  4. Tell an Adult.

The children also watched a short video starring Eddie Eagle and received a reward sticker to remind them of what to do if they see a gun. We will review the 4 steps at the end of this web page, just to help you remember.

Practicing the steps with Officer Laurie and Eddie Eagle was fun and made it easy to remember. Select a thumb nailed image below to see a larger image, then use the back button to return to this page.
