As part of their reading program, the 5th grade reads a story called "The Marble Champ" which is about a twelve-year-old girl who longs to win a sports competition is spite of her numerous awards for scholastic endeavors. She discovers that any goal is possible through dedicated training and perseverance. After reading how this girl became a "Marble Champ," the 5rth grade had a marble playing competition within all 5th grades. After many games within each homeroom, each fourth, third, second, and first place winners went into a championship shoot-off. The winners of the competition are shown below.
