What is D. E. A. R.?
Drop Everything And Read time, better known as D. E. A. R. time, is a time when students and  teachers  "drop everything and read.." March 2nd was the designated day for All students at Highland Park to "Drop Everything & Read"  Students could also dress up as their favorite story-book character.  Throughout the day, an announcement was made to "Drop Everything and Read."  At that time all students stopped whatever they were doing, and spent some time reading their favorite book.
