Kevin
Cahill, a 7th grade student at Lewistown Middle School, has
recently been named as one of the top entries in the 2008
Alcohol Awareness Poster Contest. This contest challenged
students of all ages to create a poster discouraging underage
drinking. This year, more than 1,600 entries were submitted to
the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board. Only fifty-seven students
were chosen as award winners.
For his efforts, Kevin has been awarded a $50 Savings Bond,
and has been invited to a ceremony at the Capitol Rotunda in
Harrisburg on October 21, 2008. In addition, Kevin's poster,
along with all the winning entries from the 2008 alcohol
awareness poster contest, will be on exhibit at the Capital from
October 14-24, 2008.
Congratulations Kevin! LMS and MCSD are proud of you! |
