Administrator Receives
Certificate from PDE |
 |
 On
March 18, 2008, Christina
Short, an administrator for
the Mifflin County School
District, was among 25 school
administrators in the region
who received a certificate
for completing National
Institute of School
Leadership Courses 1 and 4 of
the Pennsylvania Inspired
Leadership Program.
This twelve-day course
focused on Pennsylvania’s
three Core Standards for
school administrators. |

- The leader has the
knowledge and skills to
think and plan
strategically, creating
an organizational vision
around personalized
student success.
- The leader is
grounded in
standards-based theory
and design and is able to
transfer knowledge to
his/her job as the
architect of
standards-based reform in
the school.
- The leader knows how
to access and use
appropriate data to
inform decision-making at
all levels of the system.
Sharon Brumbaugh, Special
Assistant to the PA Secretary
of Education, and Chuck
Kensinger, Regional Site
Coordinator, presented the
certificate on behalf of the
Pennsylvania Department of
Education.
