IVMS Selects
November True Warriors |

The IVMS True
Warrior Award is a student recognition
program that acknowledges students for good
effort, attitude and ethics (True Warriors
don't have to be straight A students but are
students that try hard, are well behaved and
pleasant to have in class.) The top two vote
recipients per team will be awarded. Images

IVHS and LAHS
Students Selected for PMEA District 4 Band
Festival |
 |
The following
students have been selected to represent
Indian Valley and Lewistown Area High
Schools at the PMEA District 4 Band Festival
at Bellefonte Area High School January
28-31, 2009. Guest Conductor for the
festival is Dr. John Villella of West
Chester University. Students were selected
at the end of October and have been
practicing the music selected for the
festival in preparation for the District 4
concert on January 31. Students will also
audition for the privilege of attending the
PMEA Region III Band Festival at Tyrone HS
in early March.

Scholastic Scrimmage Team Advances |

Congratulations
to the Lewistown Area High School Scholastic
Scrimmage team who defeated Montoursville
210 – 205 in an incredible come behind win
at the WPSU studio in State College on
Wednesday October 29, 2008. You can see our
stellar academic students in action as they
will appear on WPSU (Channel 3) on Sunday,
November 16, 2008 at 6:30 P.M. Our team will
be moving on to round two in February 2009.
