| LES Students Win Veterans Day
Essay Contest Olivia Runk, Dustin Hagans and
Shannon Kauffman were the first, second and third place
winners of an Outlook Pointe Veterans Day Essay Contest. The
theme of the contest was freedom. Each student wrote about
"What Freedom Means to Me".
Olivia wrote that freedom meant a lot of things to
her-having the right to vote and speak her mind. She also
wrote about her great-grandfather who fought in one of the
wars.
Dustin wrote that freedom is a big part in your life-you
speak freely and it doesn’t matter about the color of a
person’s skin.
Shannon wrote that freedom allows you to practice any
religion you wish.
All three students received Blockbuster and Dominoes
certificates. Olivia also received a savings bond. |
