Our Mission

The East Derry Elementary School Staff, with the support and guidance of parents and community members, is dedicated to challenge our students to become life-long learners who will be respectful and responsible members of society.

School Profile

East Derry Elementary School is one of nine elementary schools in the Mifflin County School District.  Our attendance area consists primarily of the eastern part of Derry Township and all of Decatur Township.  We have approximately 300 students from Kindergarten through Fifth grade.  Our professional staff includes 24 educators and 10 support staff.  Our curriculum emphasizes the mastery of the basic skills in the Language Arts, Reading and Math.  Upon graduation from our school, the students will attend Indian Valley Middle School and eventually Indian Valley High School.
