Please make sure that any money owed to
the cafeteria or library is paid before the last day of school.
Money not paid will be subject to a fine from the District
Magistrate. We appreciate your attention to this matter.
Thank you from the Eppersons
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the East Derry
Walking Club and Mrs. Dill for your kindness and generosity. Words
cannot express how much your thoughts and prayers and well wishes
have meant to our family during this trying time. We would also like
to thank all of the East Derry staff, parents, and students and
other members of the community for their generous donations. All of
you in your own way have made this situation that much more
bearable. It will be some time before our life returns to normal.
But thanks to your support and prayers we will recover. God bless
each and every one of you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Relay
for Life
We raised $238.80 for Relay for Life, and 5th graders
were the winners of the Relay for Life Penny Drive. Congratulations,
East Derry!
Relay For Life Week was April 21-25 at East Derry. Relay Rosie came
to kick-off the week. She shared how she keeps up her healthy
eating and exercising while visiting some of her favorite places.
The 2008 Relay For Life theme is "Your Favorite Vacation
Destination."
Students were asked to bring in pennies to help in the fight against
cancer. The fifth graders brought in the most pennies and won a
Healthy Snack Party.
Walking Club
The "Whacky Wednesday Walking Club" is
pleased to announce that we have raised $1,535 toward the Epperson
Fund. We purchased many gift cards from the following places:
Wal-Mart, Kmart, Sheetz, and Giant.
We want to say a great big THANK YOU to all who contributed to this
important fundraiser. Without the help of the teachers and staff,
parents, students, cafeteria workers, local churches, friends and
acquaintances, this would not have been possible.
Once again, we appreciate the effort that everyone has put forth to
make this fundraiser a huge success.
God Bless!
Walking Club and Coordinator, Carol Dill
Attendance
Just a reminder that we take attendance and continue to verify
attendance by your handwritten notes up until the last day of
school. Please remember that for every day absent a note from you
is needed.
I would like to wish all of you a healthy, restful,
relaxing summer in preparation for a brand new school year. Thank
you for all of your cooperation throughout the year.
Linda S. Mohler, Ph.D.
Principal
Have a great summer!
See you in the fall!
