Introduction to Technology I Planned Instruction

Title of Planned Instruction:   Introduction to Technology I

Subject Area:   Science and Technology                    Grade Level:   9-12
Prerequisites: none

Course Description:  This course is an introductory course which introduces students to a wide variety of materials, basic shop skills and techniques necessary for all the technology courses offered. It is recommended that this course be taken first by new technology education students. Areas of study could include wood, plastics, sheet metal, sketching, and project planning. All students will be making required projects and will be responsible for expenses.

Required Time:  One semester                 Course Credit: 0.5
