The Inet Library Contents Summary The Inet Library is now online. This is an Internet resource tool for teachers and students that includes links to over 100,000 sites that have been reviewed for educational content, screened for appropriate subject matter and designed for easy access. The web site is organized in an easy to understand, easy to use fashion. The four basic sections include: Inet Features, School, Library, and Home Life. Inet Features contains a Kids and a Teens Zone, Ask an Expert and School Tools. In the School Tools window, handy icons appear that lead to online encyclopedias, English, foreign language and medical dictionaries, thesauruses, calculators, calendars, a data base of world almanacs, world facts, maps and much more. The School Section contains over 30 subjects including drama, foreign languages, special education, and preschool. Thousands of lesson plans are organized by subject area. A section for college and career information is also included. The Library Section includes links to over 3,500 encyclopedias, dictionaries, periodicals and magazines, 690 daily newspapers, and 10,000 books on line. It has homework helpers for all grades and subjects, a current events section and links to museums and photo galleries. A powerful search engine searches all of the sites in the Inet Library. The Sites of the Week and Featured Articles are updated daily and weekly. This is a huge site. It includes a vast amount of information and provides a great service. Whether browsing for ideas or materials, researching a specific topic, or just having fun, the INET Library provides a safe, organized, and easy method of using Internet resources. |
