Voyage
on the Mayflower Hop on board the Mayflower for a virtual voyage across the Atlantic,
circa 1620, and journey to a new land with the Pilgrims. Students will
learn what it was like to live onboard the Mayflower for months, and
meet the crew and passengers.
Mourt's Relation
The accounts Mourt's Relation were written by Pilgrim leaders Edward
Winslow and William Bradford between November, 1620, and November, 1621.
The writings describe the Pilgrim experience in building Plymouth, their
relationships with the Native Americans and their covenant of peace, and
mentions supplies on hand and those foodstuffs and supplies which would be
needed by future colonists at Plymouth, such as lemon juice, or paper and
linseed oil for windows. Fascinating fare for Thanksgiving.
