Square of  Life
This internet project lets classrooms around the world participate in a data collection of one square meter of life in their school yard. Students report the data to the site, use lesson plans to build a research project, and collaborate/connect with other participating classrooms. Corresponding lesson plans are available under "Teacher Area".

Johnny Appleseed WebQuest

A Journey Through the Olympic Games
An intermediate grade web quest.
Students will choose teams in this three week webquest. One group will travel back in time to investigate both Ancient Greek culture and the Ancient Olympic Games; the second group will focus on Salt Lake 2002, while the last group will research future plans for the Olympics. Teams must create a travelog to cite their research, and create a multimedia presentation for their class.
Salt Lake City Olympic Treasure Hunt
How much does it cost to attend the Olympic medal ceremony? What are the mascots for Salt Lake City? And how  long is the Olympic torch? After answering the questions  on the 2002 Olympic Games on this treasure hunt, let student teams use the accompanying sites to create their own  questions. 
The Pumpkin Patch
Young students are invited to learn about all the varieties of available pumpkins in this early elementary webquest, and then to complete a math activity and assessment quiz.
