You are a rich business-minded fifth grader who wants to develop an outdoor school for you and your friends. First you need to hire some professionals to work for you. Your job is to investigate what kind of career-people you will need to operate your outdoor school and what each person will do. |
Task |
| You will need many kinds of professionals to fill jobs at Outdoor School. Let's learn something about some of these careers. Your task is to locate career information for as many of the careers as time permits. You will use the internet and classroom resources to find the information and the Career Note Sheet to record the information. Complete at least three. Then give an oral report on one of the careers accompanied by a visual aid or you may dress as you would in that profession. |

| Step 1. | Choose three careers from the Career List. |
| Step 2. | Review the questions on the Career Note Sheet to prepare for your career research. |
| Step 3. | Use the Resources to locate information on your career choices. |
| Step 4. | Answer each question on the Career Note Sheet. |
| Step 5. | Choose the career in which you are most interested. Use the Career Note Sheet to write a report on the career. |
| Step 6. | Use the written report to prepare and present an oral report. |
| Step 7. | Prepare a visual aid. This could be in the form of a poster, video, photo album or something else of your choosing. Be sure to discuss it with your teacher before the presentation. |

ConclusionYou have just looked at several jobs related to an Outdoor School. You have chosen one career to report on and studied about the career.
