Classes are asked to submit a photo taken from somewhere in their schoolgrounds showing the view and a brief blurb about their school. It will be a valuable experience for students to get to see the world a little bit through a "classroom" window. ------------------- Project Details ------------------- Project Level: Basic Curriculum Area: Community Interest, History and Social Studies, Information Technology, Science Technologies Used: Email
Full Project Description: Did you know that some school's only cancel recess when the temperature drops below minus 23 degrees celsius?? That's quite different from our experiences here in Australia. We'd like to see what other students see on a daily basis. We see the beach! We are hoping to get a wide range of views. Maybe some schools have snow drifts up to the windows, or can see the Eiffel Tower or a huge mountain. We'd like to see them all. The photos don't actually have to be taken from in your classroom, but from somewhere on the school grounds. Maybe more than one class can submit a photo taken from different angles! We look forward to sharing your view. Objectives: The goals of this project is to allow students the opportunity to experience the world through other students eyes and ultimately gain an appreciation of the world and its wide variety. The collected data could be used as a stimulus for creative writing, research, discussion and mapping activities. ------------------- |
