In addition to posted notices at the entrance and by the office door,
the following will be the
procedures for visitors:
1. After
receiving permission to enter the building, the visitor will enter the
building.
2. The
visitor will report directly to the office.
3. The
visitor will explain their business to the secretary of the person on
duty.
4. The
secretary/person on office duty will help the visitor without
disturbance to the teacher.
5. If a
parent is requesting to see a teacher, the secretary will look on the
schedule to see if the teacher is available.
6. If
the teacher is available, the secretary will notify the teacher of the
parent’s business and ask the teacher if they can speak to the parent.
If the teacher can meet with the parent, the parent will receive a
visitor’s pass that they will return upon leaving the building.
*Preferable the teacher will come to the office to meet the parent.
7. If
the teacher is not available, the secretary will take a message, and
the teacher will contact the parent whenever possible.
*Note to parents
It is
our desire to help parents at all times. A phone call to the office
can save you time and travel. Teachers are not permitted to leave
their classroom during instruction time. They will be glad to meet
with you when they are available. Request a time to meet with the
teacher.
For our
children’s safety and to not interrupt instruction, a visitor is not
permitted in a classroom without prior approval from the office and
the teacher.
Please
notify the office in the case of an emergency.
*Volunteers need to be Board approved.
*Classroom helpers need approval by the classroom teachers and the
Principal. |
