Monthly Contribution Letter
Buchanan Fifth Grade Parents

            After reviewing our records we have found that we are still ? short of the necessary funds needed to cover our trip to Shaver’s Creek.  The approximate cost of this year’s trip is $100.00 per student for a grand total of $3200.00.  According to our records listed below, your child has contributed the amounts shown, along with the total listed.  Also listed is the balance needed to cover your child’s cost of the trip.   How you choose to raise this amount of funding is up to you. Listed below are possible ways for you and your child to make up the balance needed.  Please choose the best way for you and begin to plan accordingly.  We would like to have all of the money collected before the trip April 2 - 5, 2007.

1.  Donate balance due.  This can be done all at once or a certain amount each week until the goal is
         reached.  Contributions made by check should be made payable to "Buchanan Elementary."
2.  Participate in sale's) as they are conducted.  Remember that on each sale we only make a
        percentage of   the total sale.  Each beanie sold earns you $3.00: each sandwich a $1.00.
3.  Collect aluminum cans and donate the money to the fifth grade.  We will credit the amount to your
        child’s account.  One large (50 gal) bag is worth about $1.00
4.  Please allow your child to continue to sell even if he/she has reached the goal.  Your child is
        obviously a good seller and we can always use the extra money.
5.  Failure to make this contribution will not affect your child's participation in the trip, but it does put
