SUBSTITUTE
TEACHER REQUIREMENTS
Applicants for
Substitute Teacher are interviewed by Mr. Edward R.
Curry, Director of Middle Level Education, and must have in
their possession a valid Pennsylvania Teacher
Certificate, or a letter from the college or university
verifying that the individual has completed an approved
teacher preparation program, has successfully completed
the certification testing requirements, and has
completed all requirements for the awarding of a
bachelor's degree on a date certain, before a substitute
teacher interview is scheduled.
