SUBSTITUTE
TEACHER'S AIDES
Mifflin County
School District Special Ed Department has
immediate substitute positions for patient,
dedicated people interested in working with
special needs students. We are currently hiring
substitute Teacher’s Aides to work
throughout the District. Work is on an
as-needed basis. Duties may include,
but are not limited to, feeding, assisting with
medical needs, toileting and academic tutoring.
Successful candidates will have a high school
diploma, or GED, a flexible schedule and a
can-do attitude. Skills required include middle
school-level math and reading and ability to
maneuvering children up to 100lbs. Qualified

SERVICE

children? If so, Mifflin County School District
Food Service Department has immediate job
opportunities you! We are currently hiring
substitute cafeteria employees in the
Belleville Milroy and Burnham areas. You would
work on an as-needed basis to start, but could
become a permanent employee at the end of the
year. Duties include, but are not limited to
food prep, serving or cashiering. Successful
candidates will have a flexible schedule and a
can-do attitude. Skills required include basic
math and reading and lifting up to 50 lbs.

SUBSTITUTE
TEACHER REQUIREMENTS
Applicants for
Substitute Teacher are interviewed by Mr. Vance S.
Varner, Director of Middle Level Education, and must have in
their possession a valid Pennsylvania Teacher
Certificate, or a letter from the college or university
verifying that the individual has completed an approved
teacher preparation program, has successfully completed
the certification testing requirements, and has
completed all requirements for the awarding of a
bachelor's degree on a date certain, before a substitute
teacher interview is scheduled.
