| Students were assigned to three of
their top five areas of interest. Presenters from the 12 cluster
areas, representing both the professional and technical aspects of
each career area, volunteered to discuss their careers in 30 minute
sessions for each cluster. Each presenter was given 15 minutes for
the area he/she represented. The Career Fair is supported by
the MCSD in its quest to prepare students to make informed career
decisions. The eighth graders will be making course selections for
ninth grade in the coming months and it should give them better
insight into what courses they can take to prepare them for the
career path they intend to pursue following graduation.
This event was originally conceived and supported by Mifflin
County 2000. The Moose Family Center donates the use of its
facility. The school district has since taken over the plans and
preparation for the event that is usually held the last Wednesday
of October. |
