This machine
uses a chain saw to cut the
log to a special length, then
splits the pieces into
quarters, which falls onto a
track that moves the split
pieces away from the machine
and drops then onto a pile of
split wood that will be sold.
The size and
power of this track hoe made
quite an impression on the
students, and staff as well.
The machine does not load
logs onto the wood splitting
machine (above), but it is
able to pick up and move may
logs at one time.
The students
also watch a demonstration of
hoe a bulldozer is used in a
firewood business.
Most of our food contains
products grown on a farm.
A variety of food
examples were shown to
the students and they
told which ingredients
were grown on the farm.
