Agricultural Education Farm Tour

5. Sporting Birds

	Not all games birds are raised for eating. The birds at this station are raised for their feathers. High quality feathers are a key component for creating various types of flies for the sport of fly fishing.

6. Pesticide Safety

Staying safe while using pesticides is very important. There are four areas of possible infiltration: scalp, eyes, nose/mouth and skin. A special truck is used when spraying fields and not all pesticides are used for all reasons. A special book is used to find what pesticide to use, how much and when. The book is large and quite thick.

7. Animals Personal

	Animals Personal is always a favorite for students. There were several sheep and goats for the children to learn about and view.

8. Food Safety

	Patty Melt is a "regular" visitor for the Ag Education Tour. Food safety is a very important subject for students to be aware of and to understand, especially since it has been in the news headlines recently.
