[MCSD] [Schools] [Union Elementary.]

Union Elementary was built 50 years ago.

As a celebration of building our school a time capsule was put into the building's cornerstone in 1957.

On Monday, May 11, 2009 the cornerstone was removed and opened.

After viewing what is in the time capsule Union Elementary will be putting it
 back inside the cornerstone.

In addition, students and staff will be adding a new time capsule.

Someday it will be opened and people will see what school was like for children in the
year 2009!

What do you think should be included in the time capsule?

A time capsule is a collection of goods and/or information, usually intended as a method of communication with people in the future. Time capsules are sometimes created and buried during celebrations or cornerstone laying for a building.
