The Tax Collection Committee (TCC) for Mifflin County is a new government
entity established by Act 32 of 2008. The purpose of the TCC is to select a
single tax collector for all taxing authorities, municipalities and school
districts within the county. The members of the TCC are appointed by their
municipal and school district governing bodies. The County Commissioners
were charged with organizing the first meeting of the TCC, which occurred on
November 10, 2009, at which time the following officers were elected:
Chairperson, Sean A. Daubert, MIfflin County School District.|
Vice Chairperson, Harold Johnson, Menno Township Secretary, Holli Barger, Armagh Township, and Right To Know Officer, Lisa Swisher Granville Township.Treasurer, James North, Armagh Township.
The TCC will adopt Bylaws, make management structure and finance decisions, and elect an Earned Income Tax Collector. This web site includes information about membership, meeting agendas and minutes, and actions of the TCC of Mifflin County. In addition, there are several documents and presentations from other organizations in the state of Pennsylvania. The next meeting of the Mifflin County Tax Collection Committee will be held at the MIfflin County School District Administration Building located at 201 Eighth Street Highland Park, Lewistown PA.
Meetings of the Mifflin County Tax Collection Committee are held quarterly on the second Thursday of January, April, July and October at 6:00 PM at the Mifflin County School District Administration Building located at 201 Eighth St., Highland Park, Lewistown, PA.
